About Pediatric Services of Springfield

The History Of Our Practice

This practice began in the 1950s when it was known as Dr. Ellsworth A. Twible, Inc. Dr. Twible was a wonderful pediatrician who practiced with caring, understanding, and a genuine love for children and their families while bringing knowledge and new pediatric ideas and insights into this area.

Dr. Leif Nordstrom joined Dr. Twible in 1981, and the practice name changed to Pediatric Services of Springfield in 1984. Since then, our physicians have cared for four generations of families with our first patients now bringing their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to our practice.

Pediatric Services of Springfield is a modern pediatric practice with two convenient locations. We strive to provide compassionate, quality, evidence-based care of newborns, infants, children, and adolescents in a professional, respectful and friendly environment. The principles of our practice, established in the 1950s, is to continue to provide comprehensive, accessible, personalized, and proficient pediatric healthcare while maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism in all we do. It is our intent to partner with our families to promote prevention and a healthy lifestyle and support families in the challenges that they may face in raising their child.

We are committed to helping make a difference in your child's overall health and well-being as we also strive to make a difference in the diverse communities we serve. We understand that choosing a pediatrician is a very important decision for you and your family. We are always happy to meet with parents prior to delivery so that you may get to know us and our office. We have a unique opportunity to provide guidance and education for families. We specialize in general pediatric healthcare and focus our practice on preventative medicine. Call 413-525-1870 to book an appointment.
